Dental Implants | Green Lake, WI

Do you want to have a beautiful smile?

Of course you do! A smile with clean, beautiful teeth can light up a room and make a great first (or second, or third) impression. However, with one or more missing teeth, you may be embarrassed to share your full smile.

Dental Implants are a safe and long term solution for missing teeth and have been around for more than 25 years. In fact, research shows that dental implants are the most convenient and reliable solution to missing teeth.

Today’s implant technology has never been better, and Green Lake Dental is proud to offer the most up-to-date solutions for missing teeth.

How it Works

A complete dental implant procedure is usually completed in two sessions. During the first session, a titanium appliance, or “implant,” is placed into the bone, where it can bond long-term just like the natural bond between the jaw and the root of a tooth. After the site has had time to heal, an artificial tooth is attached to the top of the implant at a second session.

Same-day Dental Implants

Under certain circumstances, it is possible to place a temporary dental implant with a one-day procedure. This is most appropriate immediately after a tooth has been extracted, and when there is enough strong bone in the jaw to support a temporary implant. To find out if you are a candidate for same-day dental implants, give us a call today.

Bridges & Crowns

If you are missing a single tooth or a number of teeth in a row, an implant-retained crown or bridge may be the right replacement option for you.

Implant-retained crowns begin with the standard dental implant placement procedure, where a titanium implant is placed in the jaw. After a healing period, a porcelain dental crown is attached to the top, giving you a natural-looking tooth to fill in the gap.

If you are missing multiple teeth in a row, we may install a bridge. A bridge is a row of natural-looking false teeth that are anchored at either end by implant-retained crowns. When placed in this way, a bridge is an excellent solution to missing teeth because it is durable, natural, and does not require existing teeth to be filed in order to fit.

Implant-Retained Dentures

If you need dentures, implants can help you achieve and maintain a comfortable, realistic smile. Prior to advances in implant technology, dentures relied on suction or metal clamps to stay in place, to varying degrees of success. By attaching dentures to dental implants, they stay in place, maintain a good fit in your mouth, and allow you to bite with significantly more force and eat a wider range of foods. This is because, when connected to implants, dentures are attached to your jaw just like natural teeth.

Mini-Dental Implants

Mini-dental implants are a tooth replacement solution for those without enough strong bone in the jaw to support full dental implants. They are just as they sound – mini versions of the traditional implant, and can normally be placed in just one visit.

The benefits to having a full set of strong teeth are endless: from increased confidence to the ability to eat a wider range of foods. You can trust the experienced practitioners of Green Lake Dental to help you get your smile back.

Yes! In fact, dental implant technology can make having dentures easier.

Because dental implant installation is surgery, you will probably experience some pain after the procedure. At Green Lake Dental, we do everything possible to ensure you are comfortable both during and after your dental implant procedure. We offer sedation dentistry and anesthetic to keep you comfortable during the procedure, and can prescribe medication to reduce pain and swelling after.

We want to ensure that you are happy with your dental implants, and reducing pain as much as possible is our goal. We will carefully monitor your post-operative progress and are available to help you in any way we can.

Yes! Dental implant technology has come a long way, and it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between a dental implant and a natural tooth. You will notice that your implant feels very much like a natural tooth. It is also important to take care of an implant like you would a natural tooth by brushing and flossing daily and getting regular teeth cleanings.
